The Fire & Rescue Service ask the public to tick one of three boxes;

No response time target

Single countywide response time target

Risk – based target

The Authority are failing to meet the target of attending 80% of life threatening incidents within six minutes. The consultation form offers no box for any other proposal.

The six minute response time should remain and the 2011/15 £9.5m budget cuts should be opposed. Mexborough Fire Station was closed; Thorne is likely to be next along with seven others in South Yorkshire.
